IQUIST (Illinois Quantum Information Science and Technology) Center brings together physicists, electrical engineers, computer scientists, mathematicians, entrepreneurs, and other experts to accelerate growing efforts in quantum information science (QIS) at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. The Quantum Discovery Science Summer camp will expose students to the departments of IQUIST through engaging hands-on projects, lab demonstrations, and interacting with current graduate students to learn about different careers related to quantum science. This camp will explore topics related to quantum science such as:

  • Magnetism
  • Superconductivity
  • Wave dynamics
  • Quantum Computing

Campers will get hands-on experience through projects across the multiple disciplines of quantum science including physics, computing, materials science, and more. Campers will also learn about career fields related to quantum and societal impacts of future developments in quantum science.
