2020 Virtual Summer Research Symposium
POETS REU, POETS Young Scholars, & Grainger Engineering Young Scholars
Friday, August 14, 2020 | Poster Presentations | Awards Ceremony
On Friday, August 14, 2020, the summer’s research experiences for undergraduate students and high school young scholars program came to an end with this showcase and celebration. Presenters and their mentors participated in 5-8 weeks of study and research with the Center for Power Optimization and Electro-thermal Systems (POETS), the Center for High-Efficiency Electrical Technologies for Aircraft (CHEETA), and the Neutron Measurement Laboratory.
This symposium featured the remote research projects from 5 undergraduate students (REUs) and 7 high school students (Young Scholars) who were mentored by faculty members at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, Stanford University, and University of Arkansas. Several Young Scholars worked as a team over the summer, and members of these teams presented together.
